I stopped to admire a pretty shell on the beach. When I picked up the shell for a closer look, I realized it was inhabited. The shaken occupant posed for my camera before scrambling for cover.

This guy, unhindered by a shell, wasted no time in leaving me behind. I captured his cool camouflage coloring as he took off.

Both photos taken at Manuel Antonio National Park, Costa Rica.

And perfect for a rainy Friday: late afternoon on Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica.

Oh man, what a beautiful little creature. Your shots are lovely as always. I need to go back to your journal and catch up.
